Kirovograd is the administrative centre of Ukraine. It was founded in 1754 as a fortress to defend the central regions from enemies. Now it is a great industrial and cultural centre of Ukraine. The land of Kirovograd region is the richest in the country of natural recources. As for the town there is very little in the way of tourist attractions in the area, but the brave and adventurous still make their way to Kirovograd to share the town.
It boast an interesting blend of architecture.Many guests may be taken on a tour, which focuses on the natural history museum, Drama Theatre, Concert Hall, cinema. The most favorite places for the rest are Kovalevsky Park and Victory Park. cinemas "Star"and "Portal" offer visitors to see new films. Kirovograd is just catching on to the dinning out craze. In addition to the hotel restaurants, there are a few nice independent eateries. Otherwise there are plenty of food shops and markets around the town. Kirovogad has a developed cultural life. Visitors can see numeros of churches and cathedral.
It is necessary to say that Kirovograd Cathedral is only one which during long and difficult history has never stopped its activities. Speaking about Kirovograd we can't forget about it's engineering plants. Here are the largest plants not only in Ukraine, even in Europe. Among them "Hydrosyla","Krasnaya Zvezda", "Radiy" which provide the development of Ukrainian industry. The lives of many outstanding people closely connected with Kirovograd.
